Conditions:

Light snow (getting heavier) on wet muddy ground.

Stats:

1 Puncture (el Pres)

Numerous side slips!

Notes:

El Pres brings the BL boys along the canal and pays the price!

Butty & TJ go off piste up the quarry & over the ridge but despite extensive searching TJ officially MIA by the time we pass the poachers!

The further up we go the heavier the snow, eventually all thoughts of sponds hill abandoned, and a road loop and back via oaken bank instead.

Damn cold by the time we get to the poachers

Outnumbering active nanciers we note!

Desert Storm & Burgers good – Cottage pie bad

TJ eventually arrives and proceeds to sell 2 lights and some appartment rentals to assorted members of the poachers clientel!!! – what happened to getting the beers in?

Marty Feldmans shaggy dog can beat us around Llandegla – apparently!??

Soon we are to be sans Joe (but will get a warm welcome in the new sheffield edinburgh cycle co-op shop!)

Lama…loads of Snow

The Bionic-hipped Eric & my good self ventured up the Cat & Fiddle road until it was just to cloudy & damp to go any further. We hung a left and headed towards Lamaload. Now this is impressive stuff

Kerridge Ridge Night Shots

The snow on the hills above Macc was just too much to resist. Last Saturday Katie and I did a little circuit of the Kerridge ridge, from Lidgetts Lane to White Nancy and back. I packed my trusty SLR and a mini tripod . 30 sec exposures were the order of the day .

Bakestondale moor waist deep in snow, so we go high to the gritstone trail – where the wind has blown the snow away to leave a narrow trail of permafrost.

Hot Austins at the top (minus our own Austin)

Much pushing downhill through deep snow to earn our beer

El Pres, Pete & TJ find the road up to Bowstones still blocked with snow!

A long overdue return to the Poachers for Landlord, Burgers & Banter
