Route (Hike) : Bike to Leathers Smithy, Hike …Rangers Centre …up through the forest ..out to Shutlingsloe and back.
Route (Bike) : Messing around Charity Lane, Narnia , Forest Chapel etc

Conditions :
- -10c at the Leathers at 7.30pm
- Deep, deep snow on the climb to Shutlingsloe from the exit of Macc Forest..
- Significant windchill

Notes:
- A TNR first …bike then hike ..but the right answer (IMHO) given the conditions.
- Helmet lights were used, but you could see enough without them !
- Two supplies of hot toddies at the summit of Shutlingsloe
- Charity was snowdrifted & impassable but….
- Powder fun was found elsewhere
- The food and hospitality in the Leathers was excellent
- I lost feeling in my fingers on the ride home (-9c !!!!!)
