1 off for Butty in Taxal ford

Notes:
Stunt fills the leadership vacuum and takes us further afield to an old favourite.
Duncan realizes he is under dressed as jackets come out in the carpark
A “boil in the bag” night – too hot on the climbs with a jacket, too cold on the descents without!
Butty flies down the first rocky descent into Buxton and punctures almost immediately.
…Eric discovers his a mile further on.
Excellent conditions under wheel – and its smiles all round from the Midshires all the way into Taxal. The old road section had really broken up since our last visit (even better though!)

PTD shows us a “doable” route near the top of the downhill course, for mere mortals this is “like singletrack – but unrideable in parts” – in reality far less scary than expected 🙂
We decide to go to Sutton hall for a change – but have to retrace to the church house when they are unable to provide food (Too busy!!!). Adnams & Brains wash down hearty food. More tales of mega avalance and derring
