Dan derives a new and adventurous route
Electric fences everywhere tonight..Butty has a Steve McQueen moment!
That which is not dusty is fresh cow poo!
Route planning on the river crossing consisted of google satellite imagery – but they weren’t stepping stones – just rocks.
Dane valley path drier than a dry thing.
How many big hills!? (curse the RAI’ers – well Pete did!)
A mad black clio up Barlow hill
Inquisitive cows canter alongside us on Croker Hill
Al fresco curry in the forest with St Peters, Brakespear, Pedigree and cold Lager…summer at last 🙂 more please!!

Notes:
Another PTD production to bring us back to our roots in the forest.
Much faffing & fettling of squeaks, rattles & loose things on several bikes
Short on distance, big on climb – but worth it for the dry descents, views and just being out!
Only a select fab 4 do the shutlingsloe path.
Dan manages the whole ride without lights as dusk falls only as we get to the pub.
Very cosy in the snug at the Church House with plenty of Blonde’s to wash down huge plates of food.

From TNR 13-05-2010 Simply Forest

With Stunt flogging jackets & TJ lights are the business & pleasure boundaries being blurred?
Lots of tired legs after big weekends, big commutes & big bikes! 😉

Butty goes underground

From Misc MTB 2010

Apparently taken on a blackberry….not bad for that. Butty has yet to declare where it was taken . Its what I would call www.28dayslater.co.uk in its style . Top man. Was it done on his new single speed ?

Effects of the Icelandic volcano ?

From Sunset with effects of Volcano

Not sure about this , but a very pinky-orange sunset with various layers in it. Taken from the lane up to Bulls Head, Kerridge on Friday 16th April after a little after work “wind-down” ride on the Cotic Hubster. Picture quality is a bit iffy because they are taken using the Lumix , not my Canon SLR.

PTD shows off more undiscovered snickets in the forest!

From Mawdsfeast 15th April 2010

Is Macc Forest on its way to being a trail centre in a couple of years??

Mawds does us proud with a keg of Aleforce, 5 delicious curries, homemade nan breads, vino and a selection of fine single malts – plus some rather dubious wodka!

Luc was right to warn us to be careful….it all slipped down far too easily…;-)
