Route ( 710m of ascent, not the full 1000m predicted) :

  • Old Buxton Rd to Teggs Nose Rear Entry
  • Off Piste to Langley , then climb around the bottom reservoir (ooh, err) to Crooked Yard Lane
  • Ascent to Walker Barn – Charity – Narnia – Kershaw ‘scuse me then std descent to Leathers
  • Climb around reservoir , through forest (skirting the rd) to tarmac and standing stone
  • Boardwalk descent

  • OK, we did not make the full 1000 metres …but 710 was not bad
  • Height gain accurately recorded on Kersh’s new toy GPS thingamy.

  • El pud failure to attend due to expired vehicle and a bad cause of wallet-ache  😉

  • 68 minutes from Rainbow Bridge to Hare & Hounds by the pre ride riders (El Pud, El Pres & Stunt)
  • Good to see the Doog out.
  • Temperature a smidge above freezing.
  • Great views of Greater Manchester & the Manchester Airport flight path.
