Route: Barracks Lane, Old Buxton Rd, Zig-Zags Back Eddisbury Gate Lane & bridleway, Windyway House, Charity Lane & Extension , C & F, Danebower Hollow, A54, Cumberland Clough, Standing Stone, Langley, Sutton Hall.

Conditions: Not bad but windy and cold on the tops (especially after 35 mins of puncture repair L ). Very wet underneath.

Notes:

Young Mr Lally was hopeful in Bermuda Shorts….but then again we did almost swim down Chazza and Chumby 😉

All the ingredients were right: El Pud back in charge, Classic Route, Trevor Jackson on hand to entertain us with lighting rigs and a promise of “getting the beers in”

Conditions: Mild & overcast, a bit soft in places

Route: Black Road, Hollins Lane, Bridleway parallel to Hollins Lane, A54, Wincle Minn, Past the wood works & up the steps to the Cloud, Descent into the woods, Road to Church House.

Conditions: Warm & Dry

Stats: A few comedy clip in offs Eric & Luc

Notes:

Kershaw remembers why we don’t use that bridleway – mud & horse piss!

Good views off the Minn

Luc’s Cake consumed under the setting sun atop the cloud – 50 mile vis (not quite enough for snowdon @ 81)

Eric christens the high route above the forest “Back of the Moon” and it’s wetter than last week, but stunning sunsets & beautiful vistas captured by Pete.

Old Buxton Road Zig Zag, Murders House, LHS Teggs Nose Descent then Left to meet the Teggs nose trail, Hardingland or Crooked Yard Lane/Walker Barn to charity lane, extension, standing stone, exploration of trails on the moor above the forest from Shutlingsloe path, Leathers Smithy.

Buxton New Road, Cat N Fiddle, Danebower Hollow, Field descent to 3 shires head, Cuthorne exit, A54, Lower boardwalks descent to Wildboarclough, forest chapel, Charity lane, Walker Barn, Teggs Nose.

Hot & overcast, 23C at the cat. Dry & dusty trails.

Big Ride

Kershaw puncture

Notes:

A Mighty S/El Pud/Mawds special to satisfy Dan “Big ride. Very big ride, with near death experiences, dramatic climbs and brake-boiling descents. I want it extra large with added fries to go!”

The youngsters raced to the Cat in near boiling conditions, amazing grass flowering white wisps across the tops, youff departing from 3 Shires ;-), wooaaah it was dangleberry shrivellingly deeply refreshing in the water, fab descent to Wildboarclough with plenty of offs!

3 ways to forest chapel, straight up the charity extension probably the winner, soak up the vista of gods own TNR country, democracy votes for charity over narnia/hardinland/saddlers lane one final leg busting push and they have earned their refreshments!
