1 bottle of Gin

From Edited 22-10-2009 Danniversary 2 – Croker Hill via the West Face

Notes :

  • First ever rendezvous at Halfords
  • Urban backstreets to squishy Moss , football pitch and the classic footpath back to the railway line
  • Innovative and novel route to Croker Hill..involving scramble through woods and steep western ascent..but still fun nonetheless
  • Croker Hill and a bottle of Gin are now customary bedfellows…and they make the classic descent on the gritsone trail more entertaining
  • From Edited 22-10-2009 Danniversary 2 – Croker Hill via the West Face
  • Lager drinking reached dangerous proportion of the TNR crew…this truly is Lucifer Rising

TJ ‘s addiction for lighting geekery continues

From TNR 01-10-2009 Biddulph with Banjos

Notes: High Tempo on the flat to the cloud, El Pud gets concerned by a potential frame death rattle – only to find its lack of lubrication on the seatpost clamp! Fantastic conditions for decending from the cloud.

From TNR 01-10-2009 Biddulph with Banjos

A few tricky stiles to negotiate, Pete treats us to Rusty Nails & Pie for his birthday. An Owl for the eye spy books before doing Congleton edge and arriving at the Talbot for excellent nosh & beer and condiments delivered par excellance! Cheap night due to the lack of “Cheshire food tax”. El Pres earns yet more adulation by driving the bus home.

Super sunset over the Cheshire plains as we ascent the Buxton road.

Yellow canoe helmeted cyclist & friend make the grind up to charity more interesting.

Trails drier than a dry thing – great route when it’s like this.

Eric repeats his lighting faff – but trevors duct tape to the rescue!

Pete entertains with cheeky audio clips 😉

Good night for wildlife – at least 2 badgers, 2 donkeys & a field of bullocks

Phil 3 shows how to fall off into water & stay dry(well other than hands & feet!)

Dane Valley still tricky even when dry – but good fun!

Killer climb to Hanging gate made up for by excellent Hydes, Hello Boys & top homemade burgers!

iphone & GPS geeky comparisons for stats

Race around Ireland relay logistics too confusing to follow after 3 beers

1 girly off and 1 proper off for Pete on descent into the Goyt

We were summarily “nicked” by a plain-clothes parkie on the exit from the goyt valley bottom foot-path .

From TNR 17-09-2009 You are nicked

El Pud puncture and Dan’s chain bust meant we had to shorten the route & escape back to Bolly via a gut wrenching climb out of Kettleshume

The Vale was a top choice …massive quality nosh and local beer …including Czech Lager brewed locally ?
