Roads to AE are blissfully free of traffic , it’s quiet from turning onto Chelford rd … A minor blessing given the weather
Chris misses the turn to Bradford la – Is it because his main light has failed? – Bradford La is very muddy & a stream is running down it but good fun as ever
We glimpse a barn owl as it takes off from its nesting box as Chris leads us through Alderley Park . Amazingly we meet a couple walking a dog in AP despite the weather.
Base is warm & welcoming & just about empty – Service is very very good – As is the pizza
2/3rds or halves of cloudy but good IPA . Very European
