Notes :
With the only true Southerner reporting for duty this week being The Troll , the Northern Massive took control big style.
But the biggest shock of this TNR was the arrival of the main contender for “Lazarus and Lord Lucan award 2019 for re-incarnation of TNR crew from days of yore” ….Lord Kershaw of West Bollingtonia.

I could hardly believe my eyes.
And …..because Easter Hols means no pilates …..Dunc was out for the full ride on his new Genesis hard tail. And what a full ride it was !

The Tythy boys and Lord K rendezvoused with Troll & the Poynton Posse at Bolly Viaduct ….Butty then announces
“we are going big , high and hard “ .

3hrs and 22miles and 2,500ft plus of climb later ….we arrive in Poynton.
Highlights :
- Butty being in charge and us getting to do loads of new stuff on the far side of Taxal edge
- Mr K entertaining us with minor faffage on two occasions
- Excellent descent of the Cheshire Corkscrew which had a very wet and muddy middle section in an otherwise dry and dusty ride
- Windgather Rocks

- Taxal Edge Wall descent
- Excellent value Pizza and cracking Neck Oil IPA from “The Flute and Firkin”
- After hours whiskey for the naughty and slack in TJ’s back garden

Lowlights
- By 9.45pm I was gagging for a beer and nosh
- 27.5 and 29ers had a distinct advantage on the final miles to the pub !
- A weary Friday

A fine evening …thanks to Butty for being Ops Leader and TJ for being overlord of the AOE

A good job it was a holiday for all the next day !!!
