IMG_9629

words and pics by Pete .

Crew : El Pres, PTD and Pete

Route :

RB, Endon Hall track, Lidgetts La, Oakenbank, Pott Shrigley , Brickworks, Mooreside Lane, Birchencliffe Lane, Long Lane, Green Lane , The Church House (Bollingtonia)

Conditions : Amazingly we did not get rained on ! But lots of mud and standing water

Stats : Three riders, three fluorescent jackets

Notes :
When I left work at 5 it was bucketing it down. I got drenched walking from the office to my car .
I was thinking we might cry off.
But the weather gods smiled upon us, and I had the presidential blessing of a Rainbow Bridge rendezvous despite me being the only one of the Northern Crew reporting for duty.
As Eric says, a small team is a beautiful thing. Three is a good number.
And being wet underfoot was no big deal given we were not getting rained on.
A simple route, if short.
Paul guided our pub choice towards The Church House , Bollingtonia (as opposed to the one on Langley).
A good choice indeed.
Fantastic chunks of pie and chips, fine beer and table service.
