El Pres and our outdoor dining guru The Doog came up with another brilliant formula :Forest, pizza and beer (and a secret bonus )
New bikes for the Swiss Trip are breaking out all over – Troll on his Trek 29er , TJ on a tasty Whyte 27.5 boost hardtail.
I was a wee bit late due to faffing with my own Swiss trip bike fettling (Hope 30t Narrow Wide on my 1×10 Cotic to replace the 32T) so I missed PTD’s single track forest special. But I did have time for a little photography indulgence….
It also gave me time to do my own route and savour the benefit of my new tubeless set-up (courtesy of Graham from Sixth Element Wheels). I am a convert. On my descent of charity ,with suitably lower pressures, I felt like i was on a full bounce.
On my way to the standing stone rendezvous I bumped into a soloing Coley. We spent a few moments admiring the thin crescent moon and the “mackerel” sky
After various dominoes pizzas Mr D had a surprise for us…a TNR alfresco dining first ..a little Ben and Jerry’s ice cream each 🙂 . He spoils us .
Early on in the proceedings we did have a “Radio4 standard” discussion on the recent London fixie incident. Soon, however, the magic of the fire, the full bellies and the fine beer brought out the banter.
