Notes:
My learning point for the evening was…to keep up with the Whatsapp alerts. I turned up (late , as usual) at BL only to find that the muster point had been moved to RB at 6.45 . And I had requested thatchange of rendezvous point in the first place !!

A “keep it local and sweat the asset” approach to our Thursday Night Ride …..The asset in this case being our Kerridge Ridge.

We had diverse ascents and descents, starting with the ride/carry/push “Western ascent to the Saddle” which we did last week (on the suggestion of El Pres). The ride from the saddle to White Nancy is a real gem at this time of night, be it dark or light.

The descent off the white nancy side is best described as “for the experienced only” …

El Pres is now regularly acquiring “war wounds” …last week it was the presidential thumb , this week his chin was lacerated in the attempt at exiting Styperson woods via an overgrown footpath. Its all my fault.

The Church House Langley was a different choice but definitely the right answer – fantastic service, bargain price for the beer (Hobgoblin Gold !) , and enormous portions of pie .
