Crew: Butty, Kersh, 3sheds, Dan, PTD, Sean, El Pres, Slim, Croxy and Gregg
Route: BL, Old Buxton Rd plus Bridleway, Chazza, Extension, Standing Stone, Boardwalk descent, left of rd, climb Nessit. back of the Moon Inc single track, Standing Stone, Narnia, Hardlingland, Church House.
Stats & Conditions :
– About 14 mile and 2000ft climb (according to Big dan’s new app) by the time we reached the CH.
– a bit wet on the ride but not as bad as expected.
– slippy in an entertaining way
– One dramatic tyre blow out at the Church House by Kersh (see pic)

Notes :
Lots of off road climbing, felt like more than 2000ft..
Croxy and young Gregg ” did their own thang” but we crossed paths at various points in the forest. Croxy was doing very well given hip difficulties and veteran Kona steed replete with V brakes.
A few White Nancies encountered on Chazza, out in our forest without a permit !
Not at all bad in the shelter of the forest, but bleak on he climb out of the Forest to back-of-the-Moon. Classic single track illicit descent was our reward .

It would have been rude not to have done the Narnia – Witch’s Cottage – Hardingland descent…
Weirdest ever inner tube-escapes-tyre episode for Kersh on arrival at CH.
Axis of evil was officially invoked, and we paid for it in very wet ride home 🙁
