Route : Bolly Viaduct – middlewood to Bridge 8 – towpath to Poynton Marina – Into LP via Windyways – Messing about on the Knott – The Bike Park – The Cage – Red Lane – Out via disley – back to School – the woods – the very narrow towpath – the inclines – The Kingfisher, Poynton

This week’s episode was a Mark Butty production – and a very good one at that .
- A big turn out
- Amazing dry , dusty and sunny weather
- A lass playing banjo on a boat on the canal
- An encounter with a group of young stags
- A bit of messing about on & sessioning the Knott and then …
- A bit of messing about on the “Bike Park” bits
- A visit to the Cage
- Exit via Red Lane to Disley
- A trip back to school & the Woodsie bits
- By the time we reach the narrow canal towpath we have lost Bern, Lee & Smiffy
- a great sunset & post sunset light as we navigated the Poynton inclines back towards The Kingfisher.
I do believe its my first ever trip to a Wetherspoons ..and definitely a TNR first . Lee, Bern and Smiffy eventually appeared ..Bern had suffered a puncture.
Unbelievably cheap beer and shorts led to a rather indulgent AOE and a slightly slower ride home for some
