Tis the time of year for fire, beer and feasting all procured by our master of the craft Doog.
Weather is warm and dry, riders assemble for the ride or set off independently, and with many a route to the rendevous. By 8:30ish the flames are licking through the grill, cans are being passed around, and the full complement of expected folk have gathered.
Grilled prawns as starter, with sausage and burgers washed down with baked potato and coleslaw fills bellies and absorbs alcohol(?!).
Not too buggy, and high cloud cover keeps the temperature up nicely.
Phil B tells tall tales of fitting motorbikes into motorhome cupboards, Adrian arrives with the lovely Biscuit – who is well behaved around the food (but does weaken and grab a spare finger roll).
What is discussed on beer, stays on beer, and we keep going until there is no beer.
Routes home are also many, with a mix of sensible or exciting, but no incidents reported.
