Notes

An evening of collecting crew as we ride …Dunc at the end of the Zig , the troll up just beyond Standing Stone, and Lee at the pub !

Paul has a plan to get to the far side of Shutlingsloe and then via Nabbs Rd over  to the Ryles .

It is a fine idea , but my the bottom of charity we realised it was not doable with an 8:15pm table booking at The Ryles .

So, a change of route to go through the forest and then tarmac it out up past the Hanging Gate and beyond.

Paul has re-discovered the infamous Listerine Cups, and as it is definitely sub 5c, we are treated to PTD wicked mix : green chartreuse, brandy, southern comfort.

Then its a hooning descent to the Ryles ..for excellent beer , food and service .

The best grilled gammon I have ever eaten !

Chris orders “death by custard” but flinched half way through !

It is a very cold descent to Langley , and feels a long way home for some of us

But it has been a fine ride and an excellent hostelry
