Some good logistics sorting by TJ made for a cracking evening –
Higher Poynton Hospitality at its best
Route : From RB and Middlewood …a push up to Dale Top after a reverse Birchencliffe , Then to Bow stones and a loop of Knights Wood before an escape out towards Moorside La and then the obligatory chapel visit (a fine bit of riding!) then down to Poynton woods , Princes Incline and The Coppice .
Just before getting to TJs we had the bonus of a “wildlife feature” ..TJ shows us where the Badger set is …and the little tinkers appear to say hello. Thank goodness for head torches .
TJ fetches excellent nosh from the Strawberry Pig – Fish, chips & curry sauce is perfectly acceptable. Fish, chips and gravy is just plain WRONG !
Aldi beer selection was strong and varied (and damn good value) …and they do a palatable Bourbon as well
The fire pit made the evening – with Woodsman TJ providing a constant supply !
An excellent formula …and a late return south to Bolly and Macc when we have no 10pm chucking out time .
