Alex on a solo early bird ride captures a beautiful sunset sky from the “Zag”

The roads are pleasantly quiet already

Its cool but the trails are drying out and there is hardly any breeze – a great evening to be out , stretch the legs and have a bit of company

We meet up with Butty at the top of the Zag ..he is on his adventure bike tonight . But when we arrive he is  sitting on a wall eating butties .

The ride quickly evolves into a gentle forest circuit , we are just happy to be out on such a fine evening

We stop at the higher clearing on the Narnia trail and a strange looking, but pleasant tasting concoction of cherry brandy and baileys is served up .

As we descend the rest of Narnia I spot three pairs of eyes shining up at me … young deer , the spirits in the forest .

The ride does end in refreshments …and El presidente joins us….but lets leave our story there …..
