Route : Zig zags, Teggs descent and “traverse left” (=push uphill and slippy as eck) to drop down above stream, Holehouse lane, Leathers, ascent to Witche’s Cottage , Hardingland, Crooked Yard Lane , Bull Hill, bus stop tipple, Oaken bank lane, the Vale.
Conditions: light rain, easterly breeze. Cold.
Stats: one badger collision (Kersh and almost Dan as well), one seriously jammed chain (Slim).
Notes:
Mini guinness polygon of evil at Rainow bus stop ..a TNR first !
3Sheds and Eric depart before the pub , perhaps fearing the consequences of the POE
Badger collision on Hardlingland descent claims Kersh, but not quite Dan.
Slim’s bad gear change on H’land resultants in a major chain jam…conventional gears not always better than a hub ?
The vale is warm and courteous as ever
