Stats : one new carbon full suss 29er for Kersh, two offs (El Pud and Slim) in Lyme Park

Notes :
What a difference a week makes…..from 10plus and route leadership failure on the Edge last week. We start with ( very Eric-friendly crew size of ) five and our fully functioning , firing on all cylinders, cooking on gas route-mojo has been located. El Pud is reborn as subtle, but fun sized, alterations are added to familiar territory.
Kersh arrives on bling Scott carbon..allegedly first in the country …and has to depart home “for adjustments” by Clarke Lane.
A cheeky field is added in as we skirt the back of the Redway Tavern site and drop into IV.
Properly functioning gears and the lightness of the Merlin help Slim clean the Poachers Snicket without a dab.

We are reunited with Kersh by PS, and Dan joins us as we shelter from a shower on the highest point of the Gritsone.
The descent into LP is fun, as long as you avoid the holes in the drainage pipes. Our Leader then takes us on a quick tour of LP , but firm paths and a layer of greasy mud catch him and Slim out. Ouch , where are your elbow pads when you need them :-(.

But the siren calls of Moravka and Bollington Light can now be heard. One last new cheeky bit (the Hedge Snicket) is added by our Captain as we drop through Styperson woods …drawn by thoughts of a snug and welcoming Vale.
Biggus Nickus turns up , replete with Pugsley, as we descend Sugar Lane.
Mawds gets a rendition of “Happy Birthday”
No real Axis of E this week, but perhaps just a Glimmer …
