Conditions : Damper by the moment but very mild (17c at 6pm in Macc) . In the mist on the top of Sponds

Butty was on his Cross bike (…and was indeed not cross himself)
An El pud “Like old times route” (thats 2002-2005 era for the newbies) with novel rooty woodsie bit, novel exit to red lane and green lane in a Disley environs manner.
TJ’s birthday was celebrated in the traditional manner at Sponds trig point. A unique combination of 8 blokes endorphined up, a misty and atmospheric Sponds hill, and the challenge of a bottle full of drams.
Needless to say the descent to Pott Shrigley was “unruly” to say the least, and it was unseasonally swampy to boot.
