Route : Barracks La, Teggs Nose Rear Entry and novel exit, Hardingland, reverse Narnia, Chazza plus, Standing Stone, “two-sided valley”, wildboarclough, greenaway bridge, Hanging gate, Sutton Hall

Conditions : Lovely…and enough wind to keep off the flying beasties

Stats : 4 were baptised ; 1 very cool Retro Orange with V-brakes (well done Dunc !)

Notes:

– Its the summer silly season so many of the regulars were absent
– PTD in charge and so route was interesting and challenging
– trails were in excellent form , especially the descent into wildboarclough through the TSV
– 3 shires head summer dip swapped for a wildboarclough baptism – TJ, PTD, Ian and Bern are now blessed by the waters
– Too late for the hanging gate (“Creamy Puddings, Boys”)
– Sutton Hall served up “Blue Monkey” plus Whale & chips…God was in his heaven
– PTD recounted entertaining tales of camper van breakdown in the Alps and wild mountaineering in Wales
