Route: Barracks – Buxton Old Road – Blakelow – Zig Zags – Murder House route into Teggs Nose. The Apex Shelter – The Off piste to Langley – Leathers Smithy – Ascent to Chazza (two options) – then Chazza Extension – Standing Stone Rendezvous – Various routes to the Church house.
Conditions: Very damp…got a bit drier…and then it got wetter than a very wet thing in Waterworld.
Stats: 1 puncture (PTD?) at Forest Chapel . 1 bottle of Jura. One 44th Birthday
Notes:
- At muster numbers where unusually high but increasing rain was bringing spirits low.
- Ascent to chazza was fun …despite the rain. Some lost their way on the off piste.
- Different routes to Chazza but all assembled at Standing Stone for shelter and a wee dram of Jura to mark the lager-beast’s 44th Birthday.
- We arrived soaked through at the CH, but much quaffing and merriment ensued.
- TJ had the latest in stadium flood lightening from Magicshine
