Dusty trails\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Route<\/strong> : MC &#8211; Teggs Rear entry &#8211; Classic descent &#8211; Bottoms Res &#8211; Leathers (Food Order) &#8211; Left Hand side ascent to Chazza &#8211; Fence Hop to cheeky trails &#8211; Narnia &#8211; Finish Chazza &#8211; Extension &#8211; Stranding Stone &#8211; Nessit &#8211; Off Piste Stream path (to left of the downhill ) &#8211; Leathers\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong> :\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another evening of excellent weather and great trails &#8211; twas just a wee bit cold in the easterly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I wore my sunglasses ? for most of the ride\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/52052167471\/in\/photolist-2ng2HkN-2niHtQ8-2nizzJA-2niGacx-2niEXVi\" title=\"20220421-IMG_0436.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52052167471_b7ea829ba9_c.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" alt=\"20220421-IMG_0436.jpg\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Teggs Nose was awash with Orienteers . A momentary outbreak of indecision amongst the crew , then the planned 3sheds technical route off the top was deferred. Taking the classic route down to Holehouse lane was a great choice , grippy not slippery and hardly any citizens to dodge on the descent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A quick pub stop to order nosh. John (the Barman) was in fnarr fnarr mode after multiple orders for Pulled Pork .&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A slow winch up the left hand side towards Chazza . Butty disappeared off in E-bike mode and did not reappear for a while .&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we climbed and the sun dropped more that stiff Easterly breeze made its presence known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been a while since we did the \u201cfence hop\u201d to the cheeky trails to Narnia .&nbsp; They were a bit muddy still at the start but great fun . Marvellous strong low sunlight as the temperature drops.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Extra layers donned , we rejoined charity.&nbsp; There was a weird, ethereal light on shining Tor and the cat and fiddle.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Very loose on the end of Chazza and the extension (think I had to dab, but no full-on gravel dance)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/52051117282\/in\/photolist-2ng2HkN-2niHtQ8-2nizzJA-2niGacx-2niEXVi\" title=\"20220421-IMG_0444.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52051117282_c5afb12e93_c.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" alt=\"20220421-IMG_0444.jpg\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>After Nessit some one ahead chose an orthodox route down &#8211; \u201cleft of the down hill course via the stream\u201d is my best description of it. I had my doubts to begin with \u2026but it got better and better . The rooty bits were fun and very rideable. And the light from the setting sun through the forest canopy was the icing on the cake .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/52052400529\/in\/photolist-2ng2HkN-2niHtQ8-2nizzJA-2niGacx-2niEXVi\/\" title=\"20220421-IMG_0442.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/52052400529_a82a30c60a_c.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" alt=\"20220421-IMG_0442.jpg\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>We eventually emerged at the\u00a0 foot of Nessit ascent , and 5 mins later we are the prodigal sons returned to The Leathers. We were treated by John , our figurative father, as long lost sons . The \u201cfatted calf\u201d (this week at least)  was pulled pork in a bun with chips\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Croxy arrives and waxes lyrical about grandfather-dom and tales from a\u00a0wedding in Ireland.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neck oil , Landlord, Cooking lager, and \u2026.Guinness, coke and water \u2026for those about to donate blood tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whisky was taken to fortify ourselves for the chilly descent home . \u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Words by Pete, Pics by Pete &amp; Butty\u00a0 Crew :\u00a0 Butty, 3Sheds, El Pres , Pete , Troll, Dunc\u00a0 In da pub: Croxy\u00a0 Conditions : Dry, about 14c to start , sunny and a stiff easterly.
