Both got modded \u201cin flight\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was also the eve of Mr B\u2019s birthday \u2026and the weather was fantastic &#8211; sunny and warm enough without being too much<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/51388505898\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"IMG_5412\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51388505898_7472a882a7_c.jpg\" width=\"573\" height=\"800\" alt=\"IMG_5412\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>At the new Buxton Rd end of Cliff Lane Croxy took us on our first in flight route change : a zig zag through the little forest opposite which then brings you out at the picnic site on the GT. As we crossed the fields towards Teggs the views of the Cheshire plain, Manchester and the Pennines to the North were brilliant . It is a forgotten gem of a way to Teggs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/51387498172\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"IMG_5428\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51387498172_970304c475_c.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"360\" alt=\"IMG_5428\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>Our second in flight route change came at the end of the Zag &#8211; a suggested descent of Saddlers and climb via Hardingland was replaced with a tarmac ascent to Chazza and some messing about in the bombholes (careful now..no fnarrs) and cheeky woods routes .\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/51388257451\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"IMG_5415\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51388257451_b4264168f3_c.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" alt=\"IMG_5415\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point we learned\u00a0 that Dunc was already at Nessit benches and had already triumphed in the competition \u2026we faffed our way to the benches where Butty broke out the Bourbon from a rather girly flask \u2026not that we were complaining ! Keef would be proud of us.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/51387497497\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"IMG_5429\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51387497497_51daba51c7_c.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"360\" alt=\"IMG_5429\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point 5 Clouds was still our planned destination \u2026but Dunc had whatsapped&nbsp; that outside tables and place were rammed. By the time I caught up with the crew just after The Church House corner they were lingering at the entrance to the SH Cut-through . You can guess where we ended up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I was starving and thirsty &#8211; so fish and chips and fairly good beer was a pretty good \u201csecond\u201d .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And coley and TJ joined us as well\u00a0.
