Torrential on the way home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notes:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seemed fitting that we should celebrate our esteemed leader\u2019s 59th Birthday at our spiritual home in the forest &#8230;The Leathers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris had done an excellent job with the logistics planning, but the weather wasn\u2019t boding well.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems that after an exceedingly cool but very dry April (13mm rain only) we have had all the missing rain falling in the first week of May.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/51188948665\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"20210507-IMG_3001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/51188948665_41e771fd10_c.jpg\" width=\"542\" height=\"800\" alt=\"20210507-IMG_3001.jpg\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately , in the end the ride was not excessively wet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The crew size was only three at MC muster point, but we picked up Dunc at Windyways , and the E-Butty at Walker Barn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By Charity it was gently snowing. I had forgotten just how much&nbsp; I like this section ..it just flows beautifully I was following Chris, and he took some good lines down the steps.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Onward down Hardingland and I have decided this way down through The Forest is the best .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We wind back up and make a little excursion to \u201cCorner View\u201d where El Presidente bestows upon us ready-mix G&amp;T , and home made Rocky Rd.
