Smooth riding now to the houses, before the washed out top track which is of course being left &#8220;natural&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>TJ on first name terms with lady runner (another satisfied lighting customer)<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"IMG_2592\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/33612305492\/in\/album-72157678695440504\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/3\/2882\/33612305492_f251666fb5_z.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2592\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Back of Kerridge drying nicely &#8211; which does mean that the occasional muddy patch is hit at inappropriate speed..<\/p>\n<p>The track to the Rainow road still a mudfest though.<\/p>\n<p>Oakenbank fast (watch out for dogs!) and lights on at the end, mostly to &#8220;be seen&#8221; at this point.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst Stunt applies more zip ties to rattly mudguard we discuss route..<\/p>\n<p>TJ suggests going high to the Gritstone trail (just to prove he does know where he is some of the time!!)<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"IMG_2603\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/33612299752\/in\/album-72157678695440504\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/4\/3794\/33612299752_c2a31fcb05_z.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2603\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Yup it&#8217;s a long slog, but on road we make good time, light at the top perfect for moody shots from Pete.<\/p>\n<p>The doubletrack is pretty dry, and the 360 viewpoint at the top is worth the effort too (Sadly nothing to celebrate it with this time)<\/p>\n<p>Big soft patches across to the trig point (more photos&#8230;does he think we are male models!!)<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"IMG_2609\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/maccaustinsorguk\/33639704731\/in\/album-72157678695440504\/\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/3\/2901\/33639704731_6429ba0691_b.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2609\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>TJ leads us downhill &#8211; and almost astray on the hidden line of rocks&#8230;its softer and softer the lower we go, and line choice on the ups and downs of the rutted track are important.<\/p>\n<p>Properly dark on the ground&#8230;but not in the sky because we can see so far West (a bit weird).<\/p>\n<p>Quarry descent very good &#8211;
