Conditions: Early rain disappeared . A lot milder than of late. very muddy in bits. <\/p>\n

Notes :
\nWith El Pud in leader position, with Eric consultancy on hand, a novel route was guaranteed. <\/p>\n

Ascending chazza to Narnia was interesting. 3 or 4 degrees above zero had resulted in a glacial stream, chunky with ice and snow, making MTB boots essential …but our North Wave standard issue were only just high enough to keep our socks dry. <\/p>\n

TJ and El Presidente are so community spirited…they paused to rebuild the dry stone wall on chazza, just short of the Narnia turn-off.<\/p>\n

Narnia was thankfully mostly free of snow and ice, and our descent to witches cottage as grin- inducing as ever. <\/p>\n

Cloud had cleared by Narnia. Starlit happiness and a fingernail moon. A twinkling Macc in the valley below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Muddy bit after WC was the muddiest I have ever seen it. Hardingland still had snow drifts near the top. Down to saddler’s way . A stop halfway up SW to sit, sample and discuss the qualities of Pernod. How very continental, and a TNR first.
\nUp to Teggs Nose Car Park. Then descent via the bridleway parallel to old Buxton rd. , then coal pit lane descent to Langley. The joy of puncture 2 from El Presidente \ud83d\ude41 <\/p>\n
