Crew:\u00a0 El Pres, PTD, Dan, Eric, Nic, Dunc, Butty, TJ, Slim, Stunt, Coley, 3 Sheds<\/p>\n

Route: BL, Old Buxton Road, Cat, Danebower hollow, Cut-thorne entry to 3 shires, across bridge & down the \u201cpath\u201d to the lower bridge, back up to Cut thorne, A54, Chumby, Standing Stone, LHS & reservoir, Dunny.<\/p>\n

Conditions: Mild but cold in the wind and cloud higher up, wettish trails (Luxury compared to last 2 weekS!!)<\/p>\n

Stats: Coley has a brake mangling faff<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last vestiges of light in the sky 6:30BL are we through the worst of the winter?<\/p>\n

TJ returneth \u2013 and promptly has a lighting failure \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Good to also see Dunc out, Eric deigns to ride with the \u201cthousands\u201d of riders.<\/p>\n

Given the \u201cgood\u201d weather (First non arctic boot & waterproof trousers ride for me) a reverse entry 3 shires plan is eventually hatched and then changed en route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cloud base well below the cat and vis very poor across Danebower.<\/p>\n

Nice to go down the technical ascent that is normally Cut thorne, but the lower path of doom awaits\u2026 running rivers cut deep into the sandy soil and gouge out huge lumps of sandstone to eat bikes and riders\u2026 Something causes Coleys new brake pad to explode! We emerge to the grindind sound of \u00a0sand on metal L<\/p>\n

We are strung out into A,B & C groups , the vanguard do Cumberland brook (v wet) and we regroup on the standing stone ascent.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s into the Dunny to rescue the reputation of the TNR\u2019s which bl**dy Bernard has almost destroyed by booking the pool table 3 weeks ago then forgetting to tell anyone!!!<\/p>\n

10 hungry and thirsty riders soon cheer Richards coffers up, and its excellent service (although no pool)<\/p>\n
