Conditions:<\/strong> Mistier than a misty thing on Misty Day, getting a lot wetter by Narnia, very slippy underfoot.
\nFaff quota:<\/strong> High for slim…took wrong route from Rangers Centre with Butty, rear brake jammed on, a couple of offs in the greasy conditions on the far side of shutlingsloe<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notes: <\/strong>
\n– El pud being El Capitaine for the evening is always a good start
\n– Misty, murky and mild. Layers were being shed by the time we reached the Trentabank Rangers Centre
\n– Slim and Butty went missing-in-action for a while on the ascent through the forest
\n– Visibility was naff by the back of the forest, and head mounted lighting was definitely not the right answer
\n– “the bridge is a bit slippy” was the understatement of the evening
\n– good to be back on the little visited track on the far side of Shutlingsloe<\/p>\n

-Big Nic won the “which is the fastest route to Chapel” sprint, proving that the killer climb to Standing Stone is better than the Bottom-of-the-Oven route<\/p>\n

– the Gorillas gathered in the mist of Narnia (at the yuletide mustering point) to enjoy a Thornton concoction of Drambuie and summat else? …the winter is coming and late-in-the-ride morale boosting snifters need to become mandatory
\n– we retired to the Leathers to talk about such lofty subjects as horses on tandems, and to chortle until the small hours…;-)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
