Route: BL, Leek old road, Lyme Green, Gaw End lane, across railway, snicket to congleton road, Woodhouse end road, Cowbrook lane, Macc Canal past bosley locks, cut across to Wood Treatment Mill on Tunstall road, across Leek road onto Bennets lane, A54, Croker Hill, Ryles Arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snapped Chain TJ<\/p>\n

Luc and Stunt rebuild Pete\u2019s bike pre ride and manage to get to BL not too late.<\/p>\n

Truly epic rain \u2013 but we manage to escape the worst by heading west.<\/p>\n

Wooden bridges in the snicket are slipperier than a slippy thing in slippyville.<\/p>\n

Is there a link between riding towpaths and rain\/mud!? (Manc urban ride anyone)<\/p>\n

TJ& Stunt dunk their bikes in the canal to wash off the worst.<\/p>\n

In his haste to get to BL Pete forgets to bring the spanner to allow him to remove his hub wheel \u2013 not good when you have a slow puncture!<\/p>\n

Puncture fest of thorns shows itself a short while later \u2013 G manages to break his first replacement inner tube.<\/p>\n

El Pud lasts a couple of miles before more cut hedges take him out again.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m never doing that ****ing route again says he.<\/p>\n

Our normal shelter on Croker has been removed \u2013 so G&T for Dan\u2019s 30th<\/sup> cowering behind a wall through which the horizontal rain is seeping through.<\/p>\n

TJ chain repairs requires a mass of Gincompetent people.<\/p>\n

Hilariously muddy on the final descents to the Ryles arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
